Pentagon Targets New US Base Location by 2027

The Pentagon is on a mission to build a highly hardened joint military base - essentially a city - in the US, with a target completion date of 2027 and a tight deadline for states to submit site plans by December 1. The new base must be able to sustain 30 days of full combat operations, completely off the grid, within its first two years.
