Cyber attackers have struck at least five organizations by exploiting two unpatched flaws in the AhsayCBS backup management platform, using a clever two-step attack chain to gain access and deploy malicious code. By chaining these vulnerabilities, the attackers were able to quickly move from gaining access to taking control of the compromised systems.
